Dip-coating of MXene and transition metal dichalcogenides on 3D-printed nanocarbon electrodes for the hydrogen evolution reaction

Abstract 3D-printing technology is widely accepted as a scalable and advanced manufacturing procedure for the fabrication of electrodes electrochemical applications. 3D-printed carbon-based can be used analysis, replacing conventional carbon electrodes. However, bare electrode exhibits poor performance. Herein, post-treatment was carried out using catalytically active materials to improve their We dip-coating technique which more universal, facile, cost-effective approach compared with other conventionally techniques such atomic layer deposition or electrodeposition. The nanocarbon were dip-coated MXene (Ti3C2Tx) different transition metal dichalcogenides MoS2, MoSe2, WS2, WSe2 study catalytic activity towards hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). This demonstrates simple method improving surface properties energy conversion
